| I tend to stay away from New Years resolutions. If I'm going to start a new habit, I'm going to start because I want to, not because the calender is telling me to.
However, I'm starting to make a list of things I want to do this year. I'm thinking if I write them down, I might actually do them.
1. I want to start running. I've been planning this for a little while now, but I wanted to finish out winter break doing nothing, so I've been postponing it. However, next week I go back to school and I plan to go to the gym and occupy a treadmill. I hate running... but for some reason I really wanna start doing it.
2. I'm in the process of convincing my mom that we're going to Cubs spring training in Arizona. They start training just about the same time as spring break, and what better way to spend it than with the Cubbies in warmth? 5 games in a week at under 20 dollars a ticket for good seats sounds like a great plan to me.
3. I'm going to X Games. I don't care how I get there, I don't care if anyone goes with me, I'm freakin going. LA here I come. First week of August, that's where I'll be.
That's the plan for 2006 thus far. Hopefully I'll actually accomplish at least one of these things.

| Finals are done and I'm home for break. Rock on.
The sad thing is, I've only been home for one day and I already kinda
miss school. At least I had stuff to do when I was there. Classes,
work, the radio station. Ah well. At least I dont have to deal with
stupid drunk people out in the hall anymore, and I get to sleep in my
nice big bed

| It's only the 5th day of December and I'm ready to stab anyone that plays Christmas music. I'm surrounded by it. It's all we play at the radio station and we've integrated it into our playlist at work. No matter where I go, I can't get away from it. In my opinion, there are two good things about Christmas: Charlie Brown and The Grinch. Christmas isn't really the happiest time of the year, or at least I don't think it is. Perhaps I've just worked in retail for too many years. People get grumpy, I end up broke, I never know what to buy anyone, I tend to get money from people because they don't know what to buy me, it's cold, and I'm surrounded by the music. I happen to believe that summer is the happiest time of the year. No school for 3 months, warm weather, beaches, people are happy cuz it's sunny and bright out, and I don't have to change half of my radio presets. Summer is so stress free. I wish it was summer all the time. | | |
